We use Home Delivery Service for the majority of our orders however if you are out side out their delivery network we may be able to ship with StarTrack who are owned by Australia Post.
WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?
We ship everywhere (almost) in Australia.
Live in a regional area? We believe everyone deserves to enjoy great produce, no matter where they live and will do our best to service your area. If there are issues with regional deliveries we will offer a full refund.
HOW DO I TRACK MY DELIVERY?
When your box is dispatched, you will receive a SMS and email with the tracking details.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR THE DELIVERY?
No you don’t need to be home to accept your delivery.
At check out, always include delivery instructions and recommend somewhere shady and safe where the delivery driver can leave your parcel. Some people even leave an esky on their front porch!
NOT HOME WHEN THE DELIVERY COMES?
Our freight partner will leave it at your door and send you an SMS letting you know its been delivered. Remember this is a perishable product so don’t leave it sitting out for too long. You probably need a Saturday arvo cheese board anyway, right?!
HOW LONG CAN CHEESE BE IN TRANSIT FOR?
All of our cheese is transported by our freight partner using refrigerated vehicles, as well as keeping them in a cold room while awaiting delivery. Once it is at your doorstep the cheese will stay cool for several hours, with Planet Protector Packaging.
How?
We use three packing techniques to keep cheese fresh:
1 – Woolpack lining insulation regulates temperature and reduces condensation just as wool does in nature.
2-Every package is stuffed with a frozen ice-pack. Together with the Woolpack lining this can keep things cool for up to four days.
3- We seal everything tightly in a pouch to create a stable temperature inside.
PLANET PROTECTOR PACKAGING
We’re proud to be working with Planet Protector who put the earth first by creating sustainable and eco-friendly packaging.
You can help by responsibly disposing or recycling it:
– The soft brown lining is made from wool unsuitable for textile use. Remove from its plastic to compost or put in the green garden bin. The plastic can be disposed of in the soft plastics RECycle bin.
– The ice pack gel can be squeezed down the sink with running water, pop the outer into the regular recycling bin.
Visit planetprotectorpackaging.com to discover creative recycling ideas for your packaging.
MY CHEESE DOESN’T FEEL COLD WHEN I OPEN THE BOX.
We do everything we can to get the cheese to you nice and cool. The ice pack should be a good indicator of how well your cheese has traveled. If the ice pack still feels cool, your cheese should be happy and ready to pop in the fridge. If your ice pack has completely melted and the cheese feels warm, please reach out! If you’re unsure, email us at hello@mouldcheesefestival.com just to be safe.
STORING MY CHEESE
WHAT IS THE BEST TEMPERATURE FOR STORING CHEESE?
Depending on the cheese, 7-15 degrees is optimal. If you’re like us, a cheese room is a far away dream, so you’ll probably need to keep it in the fridge.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CHEESE?
Usually cheese is best stored in its wrapper. The packaging is picked by the cheese maker to cater to that cheeses needs. Some cheeses like air and some do not – this is why some come in film, and others in a paper.
Leftover cheese can be wrapped in grease paper and stored in a container, make sure to pack them individually so the flavors and aromas don’t mix.
Hint: The dairy drawer or salad crisper in your fridge limits airflow and increases the life of your cheese.
SERVING MY CHEESE
WHAT IS THE BEST TEMPERATURE FOR SERVING
For most cheeses, room temperature is best. Yes, you’ll need to leave the cheese out for a whole hour before digging in…patience darling, patience.
