HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?

HOW LONG AFTER I PLACE MY ORDER IS THE CHEESE SHIPPED?

Each box is released and shipped on a set cycle. Orders are announced and open for a two-week window, closing on a Sunday(unless they sell out sooner). The cheese is always shipped the following Monday from our warehouse in Collingwood, VIC. 

JUNE DATES:
Tuesday, June 9: Orders open and Box #002 is on sale!
Sunday, June 21: Orders close (unless already sold out)
Monday, June 22: All orders shipped from Collingwood, VIC.

WHICH FREIGHT COMPANY DO YOU USE?

We use Australia Post and StarTrack.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?

Almost everywhere in Australia! We ship from Collingwood in Melbourne and from here, Australia Post can guarantee overnight delivery to most metro areas. Some regional towns may take two days, but don’t worry, your cheese is safe in it’s insulated Planet Protector packaging (good for up to four days!). 

IT SAYS YOU DON’T SHIP TO MY POSTCODE! 

Unfortunately there are some limitations when it comes to Australia Post guaranteeing delivering times. We are constantly checking with Australia Post and hope to be servicing more and more of the country soon!

HOW DO I TRACK MY DELIVERY?

When the package is dispatched, you will receive an email with an Australia post tracking number. Use this number on their website to track the parcel’s movement and know when to expect it’s cheesy arrival.

DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR THE DELIVERY?

If you’re not available to accept your cheese, or if it’s a gift, please add delivery instructions at checkout (e.g leave in the shade on the porch) as Australia Post will take it to the nearest post office if they are not successful in delivering. This can delay the process and, being cheese, it’s best we get it to you as quickly as possible. 

WHAT DO I DO IF I’M NOT HOME WHEN THE DELIVERY COMES?

If you will not be home, they will take it to the closest post office. Make sure you pick up the package ASAP and don’t leave it there over the weekend as the cheese will spoil (and because you probably need a Saturday arvo cheeseboard, right?!). 

HOW DOES THE CHEESE STAY COOL IN TRANSIT?

We’re proud to be working with Planet Protector who use up-cycled wool for insulation, making it sustainable and compostable! Each box will also come with an ice pack to keep the cheese cold for up to four days. If you don’t have a use for it, the ice pack gel is safe to pour down the sink and you can put the wrapper in the soft plastic REDCycle bin. 

MY CHEESE DOESN’T FEEL COLD WHEN I OPEN THE BOX. 

In Australia, we’re used to keeping cheese in the fridge, when it actually is best aged and stored between 7-15 degrees! If the cheese doesn’t feel fridge-cold when you open the box, don’t fret, it made its way to you with an ice pack and is in an insulated box (read more on Planet Protector in the question above!). 

STORING MY CHEESE

WHAT IS THE BEST TEMPERATURE FOR STORING CHEESE?

Depending on the cheese, 7-15 degrees is optimal. If you’re like us, an at-home cheese cave is a far away dream, so you’ll have to keep it in the fridge like most people. 

WHAT IS THE BEST STORAGE VESSEL FOR THE CHEESE?

The one it comes in! Each wrapper is picked by the cheese maker to cater to that individual cheeses needs. Some cheeses like air and some do not – this is why some cheeses come in a film, and others in a paper. We recommend keeping the cheese in the package it comes in until you’re ready to eat it! We’re doubtful here, but if you don’t eat the cheese in one sitting you can store it in a container, just make sure to pack them individually so the flavour and aromas don’t mix. 

Hint: The dairy drawer of your fridge limits airflow and increases the life of your cheese.

SERVING MY CHEESE

WHAT IS THE BEST TEMPERATURE FOR 

22 degrees (or room temperature). Yes, this means that you’ll have to leave the cheese out for a whole hour before you can dig in…patience darling, patience.
